Website Accessibility

Accessibility Header

Citizens Business Bank is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its web content to people with disabilities. We strive to ensure that all content on our website is consistent with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Citizens Business Bank has chosen to use the WCAG for compliance because the WCAG guidelines are determined by the W3C, the consortium that makes the guidelines for the worldwide Internet. The WCAG guidelines have 3 subject rankings that reflect different levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA), but there is no definitive test nor certification of conformance to such levels of the WCAG. Citizens Business Bank has used a variety of methods for assessing website accessibility, but our goal for website accessibility is to follow the AA standards.

Making our website accessible

To make our website accessible under the WCAG guidelines, the WCAG guidelines provide certain best practices to achieve online accessibility, which are included below:

  • Building webpages in a way that allows you to modify the text size using browser controls if the colors or fonts make content difficult to read;
  • Creating webpages that allow visually impaired users to navigate the site effectively with a screen reading or voice recognition aid;
  • Providing video files that include audio descriptions and closed captioning;
  • Contrasting text to make suitable for the visually impaired.

Third-Party websites

While we make every effort to ensure accessibility, we are not responsible for third-party provided web content or applications, such as links to outside sites.
