Clay Jones

President

Clay Jones serves as President of CVB Financial Corp. and Citizens Business Bank following the successful merger of CVB Financial Corp and Heritage Commerce Corp. in 2026. In this role, Mr. Jones supports enterprise strategy, growth initiatives, and the continued integration and scaling of the combined organization, while preserving the relationship-driven banking culture shared across the franchise.

Prior to the merger, Mr. Jones served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Bank of Commerce, where he led the organization through multiple periods of industry disruption, strengthened financial performance and governance, rebuilt executive leadership depth, and maintained strong customer relationships. His tenure culminated in the strategic merger with CVB Financial Corp.

Mr. Jones has more than 30 years of experience in community and commercial banking. His career includes senior executive leadership roles at Presidio Bank, New Resource Bank, and Greater Bay Bancorp, as well as earlier experience in technology and venture banking at Comerica Bank and Silicon Valley Bank.

Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific.
